The Bet Ships: Atelier Is Live
A few weeks ago I wrote about betting a new product on an unfashionable foundation – and admitted, at the end, that I had started building as if the empty corner was the good kind of empty.
It’s live.
Atelier – an AI-first, chat-driven site builder you run yourself, built on Drupal – is out in the world. You describe a site in plain language and it composes real, editable pages. You keep the content, the server, and your own AI keys. Nothing rents you back.
I am, to put it plainly, thrilled. Not the launch-day-adrenaline kind – the quieter kind, where a thing you argued yourself into on a walk is suddenly something other people can docker into existence on their own machine.
