I design and build tools that make people's lives simpler.

I’m a tech lead at Factorial in Hamburg, where I work on Drupal and on the tools around it: editors, workflows, content operations. If you edit content, run a Drupal site or plan the projects that build one, chances are I’m building something for you. Most of it ships open source and self-hosted, with nothing held back for a paid tier.

What I’m building

  • FlowDrop™: Draw a workflow, then run it. A visual workflow editor for Svelte, with a Drupal module suite on top.
  • Atelier CMS: A website you build by talking to it. Built on Drupal, runs on your own machine, and keeps your content and your AI keys yours.
  • Sutram: Gives a web app a command line, for people in a console and for AI agents as tools. Press ⌘K on this site to try it.
  • drupal-jsonapi-params: Write Drupal JSON:API queries as code instead of hand-built URLs. A TypeScript library for filters, sorting, includes and paging.

And 40 more projects on drupal.org, from string translation helpers to the project management tools I started with. The list says which ones I still maintain.

How I got here

I started in electronics, as an embedded engineer, and came to software through LabVIEW and Visual Basic. Drupal is where it clicked: working on Storm and Drupal PM on drupal.org taught me open source, and project management along with it. I ran projects for organisations, then as a freelancer, and that road ended in Hamburg at Factorial.

Both halves still show up here. I write about Drupal and engineering, and about planning and earned value, sometimes with a small simulator in the post so you can try the idea instead of taking my word for it.
